A letter from Bishop Beisner about this survey:

Dear Friends in Christ:

Earlier this year I reconvened the Communications Commission with the charge of overseeing the communications within our diocese, both internal and external. The newly formed commission has developed a comprehensive strategic plan and is moving forward to better understand our communications needs, processes, methods, and effectiveness.

Technology has moved forward so rapidly in the past decade that it is difficult to keep pace, and communications methods have been at the forefront of this movement. Emails and websites have become the norm for many of us to expedite our need to share information however, there is a portion of our population within our diocesan family where this level of speed and technology just does not fit.

To help understand our communication needs, demands, wishes, and dreams, the Communications Commission has developed a survey to poll our general population. This information will prove valuable in their decision making process as they develop fundamental structure around our goals and processes of staying connected. I remind you that one of the three shared mission priorities from our visioning process is communications and connectivity.

The communications survey is available here, online as well as in print copy. We plan to send copies to our congregations and ask you to instruct members to please take the 10 minutes to complete it or logon through the website and complete the online version. I ask each of you to make this a priority and convey to our diocesan brothers and sisters the need for their valuable input in this important process.

The survey results data will be posted on the diocesan website and made available in print to all congregations to share in newsletters, Sunday bulletins or distribution.

Yours in Christ,

Barry+
